Pete now based here in Kitchener was the original founding member of one2one photography in the UK - back in 1994.

one2one photography is now an International firm of photographic professionals, that is established in Canada, New Zealand, UK and Australia. In 1997 Pete's twin brother Steve joined him and formally set up one2one photography as we know it today, Steve is based in New Zealand, Gary runs one2one in the UK and Frank runs one2one in Australia. one2onephotography is not a franchise, it is simply a group of professional photographers operating a brand driven Company. Worldwide one2one employs 12 (fully qualified) professional photographers.

how did it all really start???
Back in 1994 Pete was a real budding amateur photographer, and it soon became his job to find a photographer for his wedding. Even all those years ago Pete and Ali did not want the traditional boring formal photography, they wanted a documentary style, relaxed and informal, and please don't control my day type of photography, oh and most importantly they wanted control of their negatives. Sadly in 1994 all that existed was the complete opposite, 20 boring formal pictures in a cheap album is their memories.

But Pete often thought - "if that is what I wanted at my wedding, I wonder if other people might want fun, relaxed images for their wedding memories?" So for 3 years Pete worked for free, yes free, shooting weddings to build up a portfolio before starting one2one photography.

When Pete and Steve formally established one2one photography in the UK back in 1997, they started with a blank sheet of paper and asked, what was right with the photography industry, but more importantly what was wrong with it. Also, just what was it that wedding couples wanted from a modern wedding photographer? It seemed they wanted modern, documentary based photographic images and they also wanted complete control of THEIR digital files.

Back then, and still today we all know that many photographers operate their businesses owning the full Copyrights to YOUR photographs indefinitely. In fact, many professional photography associations discourage their members from giving up any form of Copyright. one2one photography believes this to be fundamentally wrong and decided that all one2one customers would be provided with all the photographs that were capture on their very important day.
